1/2 Day Camp Surf and Water Trampoline
Aloha 1/2 day programs is located in Carlin Park Jupiter. This camp starts at age 6, for the kids who have other events throughout the day or dont want to be in the sun all day this time schedule is for you. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 12:30PM. We meet just south of the new Dune Dog Beach Cafe .( The cafe is a blue building on the east side of Carlin Park) This camp is designed for students ages 6-11 of all skill levels. Our curriculum concentrates on the fundamentals of surfing with an emphahsis on ocean safety. Your surfer will have the opportunity to learn beginner, intermediate, and advanced surf skills with provided equipment for all students. In the event that the waves are not suitable for surfing, Aloha offers plenty of fun activities including dodgeball, water trampolines, splashmats, and snorkeling.
Safety is our primary concern, as part of our commitment to safety, all camps are located adjacent to Life Guarded beach areas. Aloha Surf Camp instructors are experienced, rigorously trained, and required to pass a swim and safety course. In addition to fitness, health, and safety coaching, all staff members are CPR certified. Our staffing ratio is one instructor per seven students. This provides students with the personal attention to ensure a safe and fun experience. Aloha rashguards for sun and skin protection are available for purchase.
The 1/2 day program is a weekly camp that can be attended throughout summer. Every week students will be required to surf throughout the week. During the flat days of camp, surfers will practice there surf paddaling technique, surf safety, and overall surf related instruction. Towards the end of the day, once students have completed there skills they will have access to the water trampolines.
Curriculum:
- Anatomy of a surfboard
- Basic and advanced surfing maneuvers
- Fundamentals of understanding what makes a wave
- How to identify safe conditions
- Ocean and surf safety precautions
- Proper surfboard and equipment selection for your height
- Surfing etiquette
- How to identify the proper waves to paddle for
- Differences of goofy foot and regular foot.

Requirements:
- All students MUST know how to swim
- Bring lunch,snacks,fluids and flip flops
- Sun block with Zinc oxide (at least 15% as an active ingredeient is highly recommended. (available at camp if needed for purchase)
Cost:
- Weekly rate: $250 per student, $15 off siblings
- Daily rate: $60 per day (No daily’s this year)
- Early drop off (8am): FREE
